"We finally played our Seaford Head Away Day on Thursday 20th January after two weather put off tries the previous 2 weeks. The weather was really good, brisk in the shade and warm in the sun. Seventeen players turned out and the following were winners. (All were winners really because we played in excellent conditions, a lot of points were scored by most and we walked off the course in the same clean clothes we walked on!)
2nd (2nd shot) Bill Crozier
4th Terry Penfold
10th Dug Godfrey
12th Colin Puddephatt
16th George Lockert
18th (3rd shot) Brian Cowie (a wonderfully struck 3 wood from 180 yards to ten feet)
Hacker Bryan Redley
3rd Ivor Clay 38 points (beating me on countback, I told him I made allowance for the fact he was a recent comer to Away days but not to make the same mistake again as his handicap might just reflect the fact!!)
2nd Dug Godfrey 41 points His handicap will reflect his score!
1st Bryan Foster 42 points He wants to be a single figure player he said, I said what about 1 that's a single figure!!
Well done to them and well played. Thanks again for all of your continued support."
